GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Lambeau Field will be loud this season as the Green Bay Packers announce a return to full capacity at games and events this summer and fall.
Fans who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will not need to wear masks. Fans who are not vaccinated will be asked to continue wearing face coverings.
“It makes me feel pretty excited because Covid took away a lot of our privileges and excitement, so being able to be on the field is very exciting. Being able to see the players and the fans, I’m very excited for that,” said fan Aaron Galvan, who is from Texas.
The Packers will not require proof of vaccination.
“The Packers are planning for the season and the various activities that annually help all of us get excited for the return of football,” Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy said. “We continue to encourage individuals to follow CDC recommendations, including getting vaccinated, as it greatly reduces risk of viral infection and transmission in fully vaccinated individuals. We look forward to once again experiencing the incredible atmosphere our fans provide at training camp, games and events.”

One of the first big gatherings of fans will be the Annual Meeting of Shareholders on Monday, July 26. It will be full capacity at Lambeau Field, rain or shine.
Business owners around the stadium are looking forward to the opportunity to make up for lost time and money.
“Not having full capacity during that time was devastating, my business was practically zero last year,” said Kelly Hewitt, owner of the Original Bead Lady. “I’m looking forward to having a ton of people here we have 10-20,000 people in this area at Stadium View so I’m looking forward to creating experiences for fans, local fans and fans that are from out of town.”
“It’s going to be huge. I think people are going to be spending money like they’re mad at it this year, because they got pockets full of money,” said Kevin Burkel, of Burkel’s One Block Over.

Packers Training Camp is set for the last week in July. Dates and times will be announced in the near future.
Packers Family Night is set for Saturday, Aug. 7. Ticket details are pending.
The Lambeau Field Atrium has returned to regular hours.
The Packers had limited capacity last season due to the spread of COVID-19 in Brown County.
Fans say watching the games from their homes without a packed stadium was not the same.
“No fans makes a big difference. You can tell there’s no fans out there, it’s quiet, it makes a huge difference, it’s like, what’s the point?” said Doug Haning, who is from South Carolina.
