On Tuesday, February 28th, a fire broke out on the 1600 block of Dousman Street. The fire had engulfed 4 of the 5 buses included in the Aspiro bus fleet. Thankfully, fire crews were able to stop the fire from spreading to the building
Aspiro is an organization that helps integrate people with disabilities into the community, both professionally and socially. A major part of the operation is the fleet of transportation vehicles that can accommodate people with special needs that are now no longer operational.
WHBY Outside the Box host, Ben Cominos, spoke with the VP of Aspiro, Nicole Hoffman, to talk about what the scene was like the day that it happened, how the organization has continued to operate since the tragedy, and where to find the GoFundMe on their website Aspiroinc.org in order to donate to the cause.
