Living the Outdoors with Marc Drewek hit the road on Wednesday, November 20, for a live broadcast at Fleet Farm in Appleton for their annual gun deer hunting special! The broadcast took place surrounded by racks of blaze orange and camo, setting the perfect backdrop for the show.
Tomorrow, November 23, marks the opening day for gun deer hunting in Wisconsin, and according to Spectrum News, nearly 600,000 hunters, the “army of orange,” will head into the woods in hopes of filling their tags this season. But it’s not just hunters hitting the road this weekend—many others will join in the “deer camp” tradition, spending time with family and friends, playing cards, enjoying drinks, and soaking in the experience.
The show featured a great lineup of guests, including co-host Randy Brochtrup, Game Biologist Brian Woodbury, Taxidermist Tom Poss, and Wisconsin DNR Game Warden Zach Seitz. The discussion covered a wide range of topics, from this year’s weather and deer behaviors to best practices for cleaning and storing your harvest. They also shared tips on fulfilling your tags on both public and private land, hunting safety, and more.
