MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WBAY) – 11 people were injured after an escalator at American Family Field, the home of the Milwaukee Brewers, malfunctioned.
The Brewers posted a statement on X, formerly Twitter, saying that an escalator between the terrace and loge levels malfunctioned, causing what they called “an increased downward speed”.

11 people were hurt, with six being taken to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. The other five people injured were treated by onsite physicians and EMS.
Late last year, the Wisconsin state Senate approved a funding bill for American Family Field, with Gov. Tony Evers signing bills to spend a half-billion dollars to help repair the stadium, among other upgrades. One of the areas the Brewers cited as needing extensive renovation was the escalators.
